Marvin's Room, written by Scott McPherson and directed by Glenn Farr, is the touching story of Bessie, a middle-aged woman who is the sole caregiver for her aged father and aunt. When struck with illness herself, she must rely on assistance from her estranged sister and two nephews she has never met, one of whom has been institutionalized for burning down his mother's house. In spite of her prognosis, Bessie turns out to be a healing force for her fractured family as she forms a special bond with her delinquent nephew. Marvin's Room is a story imbued with humor, hope and promise.
