"Godspell" Opens March 19

Godspell is a lively rock musical by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak that is based primarily on the Gospel of Matthew. Through a series of playful games, comedic storytelling, and vibrant songs, Jesus Christ leads a diverse group of followers as they learn and act out various biblical parables. The tone gradually shifts from joyful exuberance to somber reflection as the narrative approaches the Last Supper and Jesus's betrayal by Judas. Ultimately, the musical culminates in the crucifixion of Jesus, ending with his followers uniting to carry his teachings of love and community out into the world. The full Broadway version will be perfomed by the CAPA Youth Company at Chapin Theatre at (830 Columbia Avenue) from March 19 - 31. This show is not part of our regular season, so regular member codes cannot be used. However, season members may use the special discount code emailed to them on March 7.

10 Minute-ish Play Festival Submissions Open April 1

We are excited to announce details about our 6th Annual 10 Minute-ish Play Festival. Submissions will be open April 1 - May 31, 2026. Submissions of short plays or sketches written by local peeps is a great opportunity to see your words come alive on stage. If selected, you will have an option of directing and/or casting your play. Winners' plays will be peformed at Chapin Theatre Company August 28 - 30, 2026.

Cast for "Nana's Naughty Knickers" Announced

We’re tickled pink to announce the freshly cast production of Nana’s Naughty Knickers, directed by Jane Peterson! Written by Katherine DiSavrio, Nana’s Naughty Knickers follows the young woman Bridget, who is planning to stay with her grandmother for the summer before law school starts. However, what Bridget sees as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite “Nana” in New York for the summer quickly turns into an experience she’ll never forget. It seems her sweet Nana is running an illegal boutique from her apartment, selling handmade naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five-borough area! Will Bridget be able to handle all the excitement? Will her Nana get arrested – or worse – evicted? Performance dates for Nana’s Naughty Knickers will be May 14 - 31, 2026 at Chapin Theatre Company. Tickets on sale April 1 for members and April 15 for the general public!
