CTC Free Gala This Saturday

Chapin Theatre Company is delighted to re-invite you to our annual gala, on March 7th, 2026! This year’s theme is “A Step In Time”! Come dressed as your favorite era, time period, historical figure, or any thing else you can imagine - the possibilities are endless! Will you be a medieval knight, a renaissance lady, a 1920’s gentleman, or an 80’s rocker? It’s up to you! Enter our costume contest to win two tickets to our next show. On March 7th at 7:30, join us to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, specialty drinks, live entertainment, big announcements for our season, and more! We’ll be taking a look back at our recent achievements, the history of the theatre, and what’s in store for our future. Did we mention that it’s free?? Doors will open at 7:30pm, right here at Chapin Theatre (830 Columbia Avenue)! Bring your spouses, neighbors, friends, seasoned patrons, and new patrons! We can’t wait to see you there!

"Godspell" Opens March 19

Godspell is a lively rock musical by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak that is based primarily on the Gospel of Matthew. Through a series of playful games, comedic storytelling, and vibrant songs, Jesus Christ leads a diverse group of followers as they learn and act out various biblical parables. The tone gradually shifts from joyful exuberance to somber reflection as the narrative approaches the Last Supper and Jesus's betrayal by Judas. Ultimately, the musical culminates in the crucifixion of Jesus, ending with his followers uniting to carry his teachings of love and community out into the world. The full Broadway version will be perfomed by the CAPA Youth Company at Chapin Theatre at (830 Columbia Avenue) from March 19 - 31.

Cast for "Nana's Naughty Knickers" Announced

We’re tickled pink to announce the freshly cast production of Nana’s Naughty Knickers, directed by Jane Peterson! Written by Katherine DiSavrio, Nana’s Naughty Knickers follows the young woman Bridget, who is planning to stay with her grandmother for the summer before law school starts. However, what Bridget sees as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite “Nana” in New York for the summer quickly turns into an experience she’ll never forget. It seems her sweet Nana is running an illegal boutique from her apartment, selling handmade naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five-borough area! Will Bridget be able to handle all the excitement? Will her Nana get arrested – or worse – evicted? Performance dates for Nana’s Naughty Knickers will be May 14 - 31, 2026 at Chapin Theatre Company. Tickets on sale in April!
