Recent college graduate Bridget is moving in with her grandmother for a relaxing summer before she heads to law school. However, when she discovers that her grandma is running an illegal business selling handmade “naughty knickers” especially made for seniors, relaxation is out the window. Will grandma get arrested - or worse, evicted!

Christian Banks (Other UPS Man / Voice) is excited to return to the Chapin Theatre stage, after most recently performing in A Seussified Christmas Carol and Once Upon A Mattress. In addition to being on the stage, he also has been hard at work with Chapin Academy of the Performing Arts, working on shows such as Magical Land of Oz, Madagascar Kids, and Frozen Kids! His upcoming projects include performing in Mary Poppins this summer and assistant choreographer for Annie this December - his first role as a main stage choreographer. Christian hopes you enjoy Nana’s Naughty Knickers!

Cindy Binnicker (Stage Manager) is happy to return as stage manager with CTC. After taking a break since last summer, she is back for lots of snickers about naughty knickers. Working with a great cast and production crew has made this show refreshing and a nice welcome back to her home away from home.
Andy Blackwell (Tom) is thrilled to be part of this production and promises that he is trying his best! Previous credits include Paw Mutz in The Bitty and Beau Wedding Show and Officer Klein in Arsenic and Old Lace, showcasing a range that spans from southern charm to “wait, was that supposed to be funny?” To no one’s surprise whatsoever, Andy has absolutely no training in acting, voice, or movement. Despite this lack of formal training, one critic (his mom) noted that Andy’s confidence is unsupported by skill or reason. As of this writing, Andy continues to believe that this is a compliment. When not on stage, Andy enjoys sports, quoting movies at questionable times, along with appropriately cooked chocolate chip cookies. He hopes you enjoy the show and kindly asks you to laugh in all the appropriate places, and that any missed lines be interpreted as clever artistic choices.
Beth DeHart (Claire / Assistant Director) has been part of Columbia’s theatre scene since 2006, performing in more than 20 productions across five companies: Columbia Children's Theatre, Workshop Theatre, the NiA Company, On Stage Productions, and Chapin Community Theatre. This is her first effort at directing and she is super grateful to Jane Turner Peterson for the opportunity to serve as Assistant Director for this crazy tale! Beyond the stage, Beth is a creative through and through—she’s also a drummer, visual artist, and furniture refinisher. When not immersed in the arts, she works as an Interior Designer specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodeling with Capital Kitchen and Bath, and as a holistic interior designer with her own company, DeHart Designs.
Charles Garren (UPS Man) is excited to be a part of Nana’s Naughty Knickers for his first appearance on the Chapin Theatre Company stage. Although he has been acting in other performance mediums for years, this show will be his first true stage performance. He is grateful for Director Jane Peterson’s decision to cast him, and for other members of this cast and CTC providing a supportive, friendly and welcoming opportunity.
Aurora Gastright (Heather) After a year-long Florida hiatus, is thrilled to be jumping into the role of Heather Van Pree. In a dramatic twist, Aurora is swapping her jazz shoes for stilettos in her "straight play" debut, which is theater-speak for "no one is going to burst into song during the emotional climax." She previously performed in The Little Mermaid (2018) and Disney’s Descendants (2023). When she isn’t directing children or working stage crew, Aurora is busy wrangling a husband and three kids. She also tosses grownups into the air on a parent cheer team. Her team won "Fan Favorite" at every competition this year—which, in her book, means "First Place.” A fun fact about Aurora, she is now a dedicated bubble gum aficionado. She’s currently aiming for the world record of bubbles stuck to a person's nose in one show.

Debra Kiser (Vera) Over the past seven years, Chapin Theatre-goers have come to know her by many names: Shirley, Mina, Dr. Van Helsing, Queen Aggravain, Debi, just to name a few. Tonight, you can call her Vera. It's fun to inhabit Vera's wig, hearing aid, walker, quirky fashion style and New York accent. Debra thanks Jane Turner Peterson and the rest of the cast for allowing her to channel that inner Sassy Sexy Senior Citizen. As Vera says: "Don't stop me now, kid, my momentum is up!" When not impersonating little old ladies, Debra enjoys cooking and entertaining her friends and family and hosting Hilton Head Get-a-Ways with homemade Limoncello and charcuterie.
Manny Moitoso (Gil) is once again thrilled to be on the CTC stage and would like to thank you, the audience, for supporting us and this wonderful theatre. Because without you in the seats, we wouldn't be on stage doing what we love. So thank you again, and remember an eARTh without ART is just eh.
Jane Peterson (Director) is thrilled to be directing her first full-length production at Chapin Theatre. She has previously directed several 10-Minute Plays, including The Driving Lesson and Heartbeat by Lou Clyde, as well as Targeted Advertising by Jamie Harrington. Last summer, she directed Busted Open, the winning play of The Jasper Project’s Playwright Festival, written by Ryan Cook. In addition to her directing work, Jane serves on the board of directors for The Jasper Project, where she is also the theatre editor and a frequent reviewer of local community theatre. As an actor, she has appeared in several Chapin Theatre productions, including Stilt Girl, Farce of Nature, and Final Appearance. In 2025, she received the SETC All-Star Cast Award for her performance in Lou Clyde’s Stilt Girl. Jane is incredibly proud of this production of Nana’s Naughty Knickers and grateful for the dedication and hard work of both her cast and crew.
Ella Riley (Bridget) is a 22 year old Special Education Assistant at Nursery Road Elementary, a teacher with the CAPA program at Chapin Theatre, and serves on the CTC Board as Advertising and Social Media Manager. Ella has quite the resume of stage productions, including Into The Woods (The Baker’s Wife), The Amorous Ambassador (Debbie), and Disney’s Descendants (Audrey). In her free time, she loves to make art and take her brothers on adventures. Ella is incredibly proud of Nana’s Naughty Knickers and hopes that you're able to catch a breath or two between all of the laughter!
Sandy Steffen (Sylvia / Props) This is such a fun show and Sandy is pleased to be a part of it. There are too many fun shows she has been privileged to be involved with, including A Nice Family Gathering (Chapin Theatre Company and Newberry Community Players), Into The Woods (Newberry College and Newberry Community Players) and too many others to name. She hopes everyone, and especially those Nanas and PopPops, take some advice from her, “Enjoy life while you still can. Live with laughter, it is the best medicine. Take time to look at the clouds and dream.” As Sandy celebrates her 40th year in theatre life, we are glad you are here celebrating with her. Thank you for all the support over the years. We do it all for you.
This project is sponsored in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, the Central Carolina Community Foundation, the Greater Chapin Community Foundation, and Lexington County.
